Astros Renew Pence's Contract

February 26. The Houston Astros were not able to come to an agreement Howard Pence before spring training started, but they did it yesterday - only days after it started. He isn't eligible for arbitration as yet, so the Astros had the advantage this time. His contract will put them right at $450,000 salaries for the year. The owners said that they don't want to have the highest payroll or the lowest. They want to be right in the middle. Sounds like a lot of money to me man!
