Hi fans - yes, its still the weekend and I'm back. I've been out and watched my Cardinals lose a tough one in 11 innings to the Cubs. Ouch! All we have is the final game that's tonight - we've got to win that one - and the series is over. Then the Cardinals got one of those days off. I don't really like those (I know they need them) but I've got the MLB Network to watch now on those days off. That will make it easier.
Anyway, I was watching one of the games from Chicago. They showed a friend of mine on TV and even the broadcasters talked about him. Funny. St. Louis calls him "The Sign Man." He's just one of those silly Cardinal fans. He loves to go to Wrigley Field. In St. Louis he has season tickets right up in the Field Boxes so he's seen by everyone. He makes catchy, creative signs about our players, or the opponents, and he waves them in the air during the game. They are fun. Everbody who goes to the games know him. He's really a nut! Last year he was even inducted into the Missouri Baseball Hall of Fame - I think he's the only fan that has been let in. He's got a beautiful ring and all. He always goes to the Cardinal Winter Warm up and I met him there. What a great guy and a great fan he is. Hey if your reading this - hi Marty!
Anyway, enough of my stuff. Here's what else is happening in baseball over the weekend.

NEW YORK YANKEES - Life has been rough for those Yankee fans Too bad. This is a good one - a first since 1903. They have never allowed more than 14 runs during a game - home or away. They have now. They played the Cleveland Indians Saturday and were clobbered by them. The final score was 22-4. The Indian were able to get 14 runs in the second inning. In one inning. This was only the third game in their new stadium too. Wow.
Word is that the fans were VERY unhappy with their Yankees and they don't hold back their feelings - you know that. The Yankees are definaely aware when their fans are unhappy. They were booing pitchers and other players too. Yankees players need a thick skin. I guess they kind of expect it from them.
