Hi baseball fans - I really like day basebal.. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the sunshine, but I love it.
The Cardinals are playing those Pondscum Mets at 12:40 today, so this will be my last baseball post for the day. We're going for the sweep so I'll need to get my broom out to bring them some luck. I'll be back tomorrow and l'll you know how they did, of course.
I'll still have time to put a few blogs of baseball news on. It's just in pregame.

DETROIT TIGERS - Relief pitcher for the Tigers, Joel Zumaya, declared yesterday that he is "almost 100 % and ready to return to the major leagues."
He pitched a scoreless seventh inning and told reporters, "I'm about ready now. Hopefully the guys (Toledo) don't send me down here again. I am ready man. I am ready to face the Yankees." The Tigers have an upcoming series with the boys in blue at home Monday-Wednesday.
Bradley Returns to Cubs

CHICAGO CUBS - Milton Bradley rejoined the Cub roster Wednesday. He has been out this time with a mild groin strain. He had some trouble at the plate. He was 0-3 with three strikrouts. He'll make up for that I'm sure - please don't do it against my Cardinals.
Cub GM Jim Hendry knew about Bradley's history with injuries. He says he will be happy if Bradley plays 130-135 games for the Cubs this year (he played 126 games last year). Hendry said, "We knew that when we signed him. We were not naive." They're hoping he'll be a productive Cubbie Bear no matter how many games he can play.
