Hey there ball fans - I'm proud to be a baseball fan. How you you feel? I just love the game. Other than the steroid stuff that has made the headlines in the past few months, I feel good about it.
Roger Clemens. I'm sick of hearing all his back and forth stories/lies. I would just like it all to be over. Will it ever be over? Will he ever tell the truth?
Manny Ramirez. Now we have his story to deal with. It is a bummer. I like Manny. Do you think that he will ever be the player now that he was before all this steroid news hit? I sure hope he is, but I don't know what will happen. He's going to be watched closely. I feel bad for Joe Torre and the Dodgers.
I guess we can only think about the present and the future of baseball. Here is some current news:
CLEVELAND INDIANS - The word is that the Indians have hit the trading block with thoughts of trading their veteran Mark DeRosa. Their main problem this year is pitching and they are looking to look for players to fix that problem.
The Indians would like to get in the tight race of the American League Central Division. New York Mets might be a team looking for a first baseman because of Carlos Delgado out for season due to hip surgery.
DETROIT TIGERS - Tigers have a few players on the Dl that they are concerned about.
*Nate Robertson - ready to be released from 15-day DL, but plans he is not coming back when he's eligible.
Carlos Guilen - On DL due to right shoulder inflammation, somewhat better, but not testing shoulder like he should
Marcus Thames - On DL since 4/19 with strain. Has made progress lately and may receive rehab assignment soon.
