NO RAIN PREDICTED IN STL TONIGHT

Hi baseball buds - I'm a happy baseball fan today -

My Cardinals won the series against the Detroit Tigers (Jim Leyland is Tony's good buddy but I'm sure he hates coming to St. Louis). We beat them last night 4-3.  Molina and Rasmus both had a great night at the plate.  Molina hit a homer in the second inning and Rasmus had an RBI single and a triple.  Molina's batting average went up to 290 and Rasmus' is now 270.  Wellemeyer did a  good job for us on the mound too. Piniero has the ball tonight.  He's ready for a "W".

Here are some other highlights for my Cardinals:
*Tony was named to the All-Star coaching staff.   It's at Busch duh.  Joe Torre is on the staff too.

*Khalil Greene is off the DL and might join the team tonight. If you care about my opinion, I think they're trying to bring him back too soon.  He has possibilities. Are they setting hm up to fail?

Here is more baseball news -

SAN DIEGO PADRES - 6/17/09 - JAKE PEAVY
The chances of Jake Peavy being traded to another team are pretty low.  He's hobbling around in a cast right now and will be out for at least a month.  It may even be longer due to a tear in the tendon of his right ankle.  What's even worse is that surgery might be necessary in his near future.  That would put him out for another year. Bad news.for the former Cy Young winner?

ST. LOUIS CARDINALS - 6/16/09 - ALBERT PUJOLS
Albert Pujols.  He needs to be resigned with the Cardinals. Now! St. Louis is a baseball-crazy city and we are even crazier for Sir Albert. There have not been any active talks with this baseball superstar yet - why?

Maybe it's not not Cardinals that are holding things up, rumors say it might be Albert that's dragging his feet for now.  Talk says he wants to be assured that St. Louis will surround him with the kind of  team that can be World Series contenders.  He told the press that fact this spring. Let's listen to him!

I guess this is the time for him to put that statement into action.  He loves St. Louis, but where will he draw the line? From one rabid St. Louis baseball fan, this whole thing makes me mucho nervouso (like my Espanol?).  I will watch this situation closely and will report any news to you.

GOTTA LOVE HIM.
HE'S THE (OUR) MAN - RIGHT NOW!
