Greene Back in St. Louis

GREENE RETURNED
TO STL AUGUST 1

On August 1 Khalil Greene was released from the DL and returned to STL (he was a pinch-hitter Sunday).  He has been on the disabled-list twice this season for social anxiety disorder.  Greene feels like he made more improvements in this DL and is ready for MLB again. He feels like he's "more in control of his emotional state."

During this second DL he didn't concentrate on anything baseball-related. When he played in Triple A, he had good games and bad ones too.  He handled the bad games much better this time around.

Plans are for Greene to help fill in while Brendan Ryan heals from his injured left ankle. His role has been reduced to part-time duty. That's fine with him. He says he just wants to help the team where he's needed.

Greene said, "Where I am right now - it feels good."   Glad to hear that - good luck Khalil!
