WHAT WILL SEPTEMBER BRING?

Albert Pujols.
El Hombre continues to drive the Cardinals along in the National League Central Division.  They beat the first place Los Angeles Dodgers Monday with the help of his 39th home run.  He constantly shows Cardinal fans, as well as the rest pf baseball, why he is considered as the best player in baseball today.

The Cubs lost to the Padres Monday night (thank you Padres) and now the Cardinals are six games in front to those Cubbies (yea).  Tuesday, the Dodgers are trying to rebound.  They s have Chad Billingsley (11-6) pitching against Wayne Boggs (1-1).  We'll see what our Cardinals will do with tonight's game.  We've won our last five in a row and been playing some great "come-back ball" in games since we got our new lineup with Holliday, DeRosa and Luna. The game isn't over "till it's over" lately. It's been great baseball.

Now on to the rest of baseball. In the NL East, the Phillies lead that division 4.5 games.  The Dodgers are also 4.5 games back in the NL West (that's sure changed - they used to be ahead some 13 games).

In the American League the Angels are looking good in the West Division, winning the last seven out of ten games. The Yankees are ahead in the East and the Detroit Tigers head the Central by two games.

Soon it will be September baseball.  It's exciting, but I don't think I'm ready for it, are you?
