MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL - 8/27/09 - STEROIDS & 2003 LIST
There is information that prosecutors improperly seized the tests from the 100 major
league baseball players that tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2003.
Chief Judge Alex Koinski wrote in the support of a 9 to 2 decision by the United States
court, ". . .This was ant of deliberate oversearching of evidence by the government."

CHICAGO CUBS - 8/27/09 - MILTON BRADLEY UPSET WITH CUB FANS
Press talked to Milton Bradley in the Cub clubhouse before their game on Wednesday.
They asked Bradley about comments that he made on Tuesday about how he faced "hatred"
on a daily basis. Bradley said that the Chicago Cub fans at Wrigley Field handed
out racial abuse toward himm.  He declined to give specifics because he thought "no
one would listen to him."

CHICAGO WHITE SOX - 8/27/09 - JAKE PEAVY NOT PITCHING SAT.
Jake Peavy had just started his long-toss bullpen session Wednesday and the bullpen
coach Juan Nievel gave the throat slash.  He was out for his proposed start on
Saturday.  Pitching coach Don Cooper explained that he was out for now and they
would try to have a good bullpen session laer Thursday again to see how he does. He
explained that they were just being cautious

FLORIDA MARLINS - 8/26/09 - NICK JOHNSON ON DL
The Marlin's first baseman, Nick Johnson, was put on the disabled list after Tuesday;s game.  He has a strained right hamstring that is not healing as fast as they thought it should so they're giving him more rest fot it.
