CHICAGO CUBS - BAKER HOMERS AT FINAL STRIKE
9/25/09. The Chicago Cubs helped the Colorado Rockies last night gain a game on the Giants when at their "last strike" in the ninth inning, Baker launched a two-run homer.  The Cubs beat the Giants 3-2. The Cubbies didn't help out their good friends, our Cardinals, win the division with a loss.  That's fine - I think our guys should win the game on their own.

MORE CUBS - MILTON BRADLEY MAKES "REAL" APOLOGY
9/25/09. This was the second apology to Chicago and the Chicago Cubs for his actions during the past five months. You all know, this last time he expressed his feelings was not the first time this was done by Bradley (he just got in trouble this time).  Remember how he bad-mouthed the fans a month or so ago, it was in the media, and he said The Media got his quote all wrong.  Right. The smart Cub fans knew what was coming from him (and they got it). At least they got a real apology from Bradley.

This second apology sounded more sincere than the first one that probably had his agent's hands all over it  (they want him to be able to find another baseball home - that's what they're after). In this new statement Bradley said, "I said and did certain things that I regret."  That's pretty good coming from the troublesome Toy Boy. Oh well, turn the page.

TEXAS RANGERS - TEAM BIDDERS
Another bidder for the Texas Ranger was received by their president Nolan Ryan.  Now they can add sports attorney, Chuck Greenburg, to the list of those interested in the team.  Greenburg already owned two minor league baseball teams and a sports consulting firm.
